Symptoms of Dehydration and Ayurvedic remedies

Dehydration is a common health issue especially in summers when people start feeling thirsty after
every 5 to 10 minutes. You must have experienced it in your daily lives but sometimes there are
symptoms of dehydration which are not easily recognizable. You tend to feel low and irritated
without knowing the reason. Dehydration is not good for health and can cause many different
problems which will further make your condition worse. It is better to stay known about the symptoms
of dehydration. Also the Ayurvedic remedies to treat it wisely and quickly. Dehydration happens
when there is a deficiency of water and fluids in the body.

Symptoms of Dehydration

• Your mouth becomes dry
• You start feeling lethargic
• Muscles get weak
• A constant Headache
• Feeling of dizziness
In case you have severe dehydration then you might feel the following
symptoms:
• Less Sweat even if it is very hot
• Unusual dry skin
• Very low blood pressure
• Fever
• Unconsciousness and dizziness all the time
• Eyes get sunk

Ayurvedic Remedies for Dehydration

1. Asparagus
It is a great herb and helps in regaining the fluids of the body which further prevents dehydration. It is
rich in fiber and cools down the body in the hot weather.

2. Elderflower
It is again a very effective herb which reduces the body temperature and further helps the body in
fighting with heat and repelling the extraction of fluids. You can consume 1-2 spoons of its powder with
water at least two times a day to prevent dehydration.

3. Chamomile
It is an excellent ingredient for re-hydration. It is also a de-stressing herb and if taken two to three times
daily it can really help in retaining the lost fluids of the body again. The flowers can be taken by soaking
into the water for 10 minutes and then straining them.
