Metabolic syndrome and Type 2 diabetes causes and symptoms

Metabolic Syndrome can be characterized as a cluster of risk factors that include hypertension,
abdominal obesity, hyperglycemia, and dyslipidemia. It is associated with a high risk of type 2
diabetes, it causes a major health challenge among the public worldwide.
This syndrome promotes the development of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease which plays a
major role in identifying individuals at risk of complications.

includes ethnicity, diabetes duration, age, body mass index, weight, total cholesterol, HbA1c,
triglyceride, WC, body weight and HDL.
In type 2 diabetes, a human body does not respond well to insulin as they need to work, hence
resulting in loss of insulin production. If uncontrolled, type 2 diabetes may lead to high blood sugar
levels which directly leads to serious complications.
