However, sleep apnea can cause major health issues if not treated well in time such as:

It is not that this problem cannot be cured, there are several treatment ways for it such as medications, breathing devices and more but if it is on initial stage or if you are determined, it can be cured through home care methods as well. To remove the effect of sleep apnea, the following are some home remedies which works well if followed properly on regular basis.

Home Remedies :

1. Do not get obese
It is recommended by doctors to maintain a healthy weight especially if you are suffering from sleep apnea. Obesity can usually obstruct oxygen from getting in properly hence causing the problems.

2. Change sleep position
A study says that half of the sleep apnea problems are caused due to bad or irregular sleep positions. Make a slight change and see the difference.

3. No smoking or alcohol
It hardly needs any explanation. Sleeping after you have smoked or drunk alcohol can make it difficult to breathe while sleeping thus making way to sleep apnea.

4. Do yoga
Yoga is one of the best ways to improve your respiratory system and makes your oxygen flow better. Any regular exercise can be helpful in the fight with sleep apnea though.

5. Humidifiers can help
Usually, people suffer from sleep apnea because of the dry air in the ambiance which obstructs the smooth breathing process. Humidifiers can add moisture to the air and decrease congestion.
